The Safety Trainer will conduct both classroom and field-based training while evaluating operator competency and reinforcing safe work practices on active construction sites. The position requires strong presentation skills, practical field experience, and the ability to travel to project sites to support workforce development initiatives.
Provide training on OSHA construction safety topics and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to fall protection, confined space entry, scaffolding, excavation and trenching, hazard communication, and other OSHA-related safety subjects applicable to construction operations. Deliver OSHA Construction Outreach training programs, including the OSHA 10-Hour and OSHA 30-Hour courses, in accordance with OSHA outreach program requirements.
Evaluate operator competency through written and practical assessments, maintain accurate training records and certification documentation, and coordinate training schedules with project leadership and safety personnel across multiple project locations.
Minimum Qualifications
(Candidate must meet the following)
This position requires an active presence on construction sites. Candidates must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; navigate uneven terrain, stairs, and ladders; and perform bending, kneeling, and reaching activities. The role may require lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Work may occur outdoors for significant portions of the day, in varying weather conditions, with exposure to loud noise and typical construction-site hazards. Required personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience

Position Overview
The Safety Trainer supports the organization’s commitment to safe work execution by delivering training programs to construction personnel across multiple project locations. This role is responsible for instructing employees on regulatory safety requirements, high-risk construction activities, and safe equipment operation.The Safety Trainer will conduct both classroom and field-based training while evaluating operator competency and reinforcing safe work practices on active construction sites. The position requires strong presentation skills, practical field experience, and the ability to travel to project sites to support workforce development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safety training programs in classroom and field environments for construction personnel working on active project sites. Provide training and competency evaluations for operators of equipment including Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP), forklifts and telehandlers, excavators or trackhoes, skid steers, and other construction equipment as required.Provide training on OSHA construction safety topics and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to fall protection, confined space entry, scaffolding, excavation and trenching, hazard communication, and other OSHA-related safety subjects applicable to construction operations. Deliver OSHA Construction Outreach training programs, including the OSHA 10-Hour and OSHA 30-Hour courses, in accordance with OSHA outreach program requirements.

- OSHA 500 – Authorized Trainer as a Construction Outreach Trainer
- Demonstrated experience delivering safety training within construction environments
- Experience training and evaluating operators of construction equipment including MEWPs, forklifts/telehandlers, excavators/trackhoes, and skid steers
- Experience delivering Competent Person training for high-risk construction activities (e.g., fall protection, confined space, scaffolding, excavation)
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively instruct personnel
