Position overview:
We are seeking a skilled Layout Trimble Technician to join our team. This position involves utilizing Trimble technology and related tools to perform accurate layout and coordination for electrical installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in layout processes, construction documentation, and technology integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Trimble robotic total stations and GPS equipment for precise layout and field measurements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure accurate layout and adherence to project specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to determine layout requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to verify accuracy and compliance with design documents.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of as-built documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve layout issues on-site in coordination with project stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Trimble software and hardware advancements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while on-site.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in Trimble technology is a plus.
- Proven experience in layout and survey work using Trimble technology.
- Familiarity with construction practices, particularly in electrical installations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in Trimble Field Link, AutoCAD, or other relevant software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Certification in Trimble or related layout technologies.
- Previous experience in electrical construction projects.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes.
