Job Summary: 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for customer quotes, bids, and projects. The ideal candidate will analyze drawings, specifications, materials, labor requirements, and vendor pricing to develop reliable project costs. This role requires strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams. 

Job Duties: 

  • Review drawings, specifications, RFQs, and project documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates. 

  • Determine material, labor, subcontractor, and equipment requirements based on project scope. 

  • Obtain and evaluate vendor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing. 

  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, proposals, and bid documents for internal review or customer submission. 

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to validate technical requirements and production feasibility. 

  • Develop and maintain cost databases, pricing models, and estimating templates. 

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value-engineering alternatives. 

  • Track and analyze historical project costs to improve future estimating accuracy. 

  • Communicate estimate details to project managers, sales teams, and leadership. 

  • Assist with project turnover documentation, budgeting, and cost forecasting as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience. 

  • Estimating experience in industrial manufacturing, electrical systems, construction, or fabrication. 

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. 

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, labor routing, and production workflow.  

  • Proficiency in estimating software, ERP systems, and Excel-based costing. 

  • Strong analytical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Ability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • U.S. work authorization without sponsorship 

  • Ability to pass background and drug screenings 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience in an engineered-to-order (ETO) manufacturing environment. 

  • 3+ years of experience in estimating electrical panels, fabrication projects, or industrial equipment.
