Position SummaryThe Vice President of Prefabrication is responsible for the strategic leadership, growth,
standardization, and operational performance of all prefabrication activities across Hays Electrical
Services. This executive leader establishes and drives the company's prefabrication vision,
ensuring alignment between estimating, VDC, project controls, operations, production facilities, and
field execution.
The Vice President is accountable for maximizing labor efficiency, improving project execution,
driving standardization, increasing profitability, and ensuring the Hays Way of prefabrication is
consistently executed across all regions and business units.
Strategic Leadership
• Develop and execute the long-term Hays Prefabrication Strategy.
• Establish company-wide prefab standards and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to expand prefab capabilities and market competitiveness.
• Lead innovation initiatives focused on productivity, automation, and manufacturing excellence.
Operational Leadership
• Provide executive oversight of all prefab facilities and production operations.
• Establish annual business plans, budgets, staffing plans, and performance goals.
• Drive consistency across all prefab facilities and regional operations.
• Ensure production capacity supports current and future project demands.
Project Execution Integration
• Ensure prefab requirements are integrated into estimating, BIM, WBS, MELT, scheduling,
procurement, and field execution.
• Partner with Operations leadership to maximize prefab utilization on every project.
• Participate in executive project reviews and operational planning meetings.
Financial Accountability
• Own prefab P&L; performance.
• Develop annual budgets and capital expenditure plans.
• Drive measurable reductions in field labor costs through prefab utilization.
• Track and report ROI on prefab investments and initiatives.
Leadership & Talent Development
• Build and develop the prefab leadership team.
• Create succession planning and workforce development programs.
• Establish training standards for prefab, VDC, and field personnel.
• Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.
Cross-functional Coordination
• Coordinate with the Logistics and Supply Chain Departments to ensure prefab production
requirements, material readiness, and project delivery schedules are aligned.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Warehousing, VDC, Project Controls, and Operations teams to
support prefab production and field execution.
• Identify and remove organizational barriers impacting prefab performance.

Required Qualifications
• 15+ years of electrical construction leadership experience.
• Experience leading large-scale prefab, manufacturing, or operational organizations.
• Proven success managing multiple facilities, departments, or business units.
• Strong understanding of VDC, project controls, scheduling, WBS, MELT, procurement, and field
operations.
• Experience managing budgets, strategic initiatives, and organizational growth.
• Executive leadership experience within commercial electrical construction, mission critical,
healthcare, aviation, or similar markets
