Service Technician – Hays Electrical Services

Position Summary

The Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to deliver high-quality service while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in accordance with codes and company standards
• Diagnose electrical issues and perform corrective actions in a timely and efficient manner
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), local regulations, and safety policies
• Respond to service calls, troubleshoot problems, and provide on-site solutions
• Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members
• Complete service reports, documentation, and work orders accurately
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good working condition
• Adhere to all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred
• Valid electrician license (Journeyman preferred, where applicable)
• Minimum 2–5 years of electrical service or field experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and wiring
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
