Job Summary:
At HAYS Electrical Services we are seeking a Manufacturing Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our UL-certified production facility. This role is responsible for managing production processes for switchboards, panelboards, control panels, and industrial modular houses, ensuring compliance with UL and safety standards, driving operational efficiency, and leading a team of production professionals.

Production Management
Plan, schedule, and oversee production workflows for switchboards, panelboards, control panels, and industrial modular houses to meet customer delivery timelines
Ensure efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment to maximize productivity
Monitor daily operations, production KPIs, and process metrics
Quality & Compliance
Maintain compliance with UL standards and internal quality protocols
Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure defect-free production
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to address product and process improvements
Team Leadership
Supervise, mentor, and train production staff
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans
Safety & Regulatory Oversight
Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
Promote a culture of workplace safety and conduct regular safety audits
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency
Implement Lean, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support new product introductions and process enhancements
Reporting & Communication
Maintain accurate production, labor, and material records
Provide regular reports to senior management on production performance, quality metrics, and staffing needs
Partner with procurement, project management, and engineering to ensure alignment on schedules and priorities
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in UL-certified electrical panel production
Strong knowledge of UL standards, OSHA, and quality control processes
Experience with switchboards, panelboards, control panels, and industrial modular houses
Experience with Lean manufacturing, process improvement, and workflow optimization
Proficiency with ERP or production management systems
Experience with job, project, and manufacturing cost structures
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
U.S. work authorization without sponsorship
Ability to pass background and drug screenings
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in an engineered-to-order (ETO) manufacturing environment
6+ years of experience managing UL-certified manufacturing operations
Strong technical background in electrical panel assembly, wiring, and industrial modular construction
Experience with workforce training and development programs
Familiarity with ISO or other industry quality standards
Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification
