Position Overview:
Hays Electrical Services is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to assist with field operations for large-scale multifamily and high-rise electrical construction across the nation. We are seeking a high-performance Warehouse Manager to design, implement, and optimize our entire warehouse operations—including fleet management, tool & material inventory, logistics scheduling, and software integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and implement a centralized inventory management system for tools, materials, and equipment.
Establish barcoding or RFID-based check-in/check-out system for tool tracking.
Coordinate daily/weekly logistics schedules with project superintendents and prefab teams.
Maintain optimal stock levels; reduce loss, theft, or duplication across multiple jobsites.
Set up reorder thresholds and purchasing protocols with vendors.
Design and optimize delivery routing for just-in-time jobsite deliveries.
Oversee all company vehicles (trucks, vans, trailers); schedule maintenance, inspections, and registration compliance.
Manage GPS tracking and fuel monitoring systems across all vehicles.
Establish and monitor usage logs, mileage reports, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Select and deploy warehouse management and fleet tracking software (e.g., ToolWatch, Fleetio, etc.).
Create SOPs for tool issuance, returns, repairs, and calibration.
Train warehouse staff and field foremen on new systems and protocols.
Build out the team structure needed for long-term success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Operations, or similar.
Minimum 5 years' experience in construction logistics, warehouse, or field operations.
Experience with ERP/WMS systems and cloud-based logistics platforms.
Experience with Sage Intacct or Vista Viewpoint highly preferred
Knowledge of tools and materials commonly used in electrical construction.
Experience with fleet tracking systems, logistics routing, and inventory control software.
Skilled in change management, with the ability to train and scale processes across teams.
Self-starter mindset, comfortable operating without legacy systems.
